ÅBEN DANS is a regional dance theatre that annually creates two dance productions, one for children and one for adults. These productions are toured in Denmark and internationally.

Besides the annual productions, ÅBEN DANS has a range of other activities. This includes for example Art Walks, where a hike is created to make artistic thinking meet nature (view picture below) and the International Day of Dance, which ÅBEN DANS has marked the last three years, in 2010 by three days of dancing around the city of Roskilde, i.e. on 4 schools, in busses and on the city square.

ÅBEN DANS also hosts activities such as workshops on dance and movement, audience debates in relation to productions and lectures hosted by artistic leader Thomas Eisenhardt based on the concepts of art, body and creativity.
